- Stand with the heel to a wall and put a measuring tape under your feet
- Read off the measured foot length in millimeters before your longest toe
- If you are between two sizes, choose the next higher, because feet are minimally greater under load

BIRKENSTOCK Shoes Standard Suede footbed, which is found in most BIRKENSTOCK shoes with replaceable footbed.
Deep Heel Cup
The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
MEDIAL LONGITUDINAL ARCH SUPPORT
Underpins the inner longitudinal arch of the foot and acts against lowering of the inner foot edge.
LATERAL LONGITUDINAL ARCH SUPPORT
Supports the outer longitudinal arch and improves the positioning of the midfoot and rear foot on the footbed.
TRANSVERSAL ARCH SUPPORT
Stabilizes the metatarsal bone and ensures that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance.
