You have 10 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. Items shipped back after this window cannot be accepted.

Return within 10 days

You can request a return within 10 days of receiving your order. Requests raised after this window will not be accepted. To be eligible, the product should be in its original condition, with tags and packaging intact.

Visit return portal, enter your order details, select the item(s) to return, upload the required photos and video, and submit. Pick-up will be scheduled automatically.

Email our support team

Email customercare-india@birkenstock.com OR call on +919717111774 mentioning your order number, reason for return, and the required photos/video. Our team is available Monday–Saturday, 10am–7pm IST.

Share proof before pickup

Before the reverse pickup is scheduled, you must share the following images and video:

Photos required: Full front angle and full back angle of the received product - with original tags still attached. Video required: An unboxing video explicitly capturing the complete unboxing process, with product and original tags intact, clearly highlighting the nature of the issue.

Free reverse pickup from your original address

All approved returns are picked up from the original delivery address. No change of address can be accommodated during pickup. Our logistics partner will contact you to arrange collection.

INELIGIBLE FOR RETURN

When a return cannot be accepted

  • Discounted / sale merchandise - no return or replacement is given (only size replacement within 7 days on stock availability)
  • Items not in original condition - damaged or with missing parts for reasons not attributable to Birkenstock
  • Items shipped back more than 10 days after delivery
  • No proof of purchase (order invoice) available
  • Items originally purchased from an offline BIRKENSTOCK store, outlet, or franchise - these cannot be returned to the web store
  • Online purchases cannot be returned at an offline BIRKENSTOCK store, outlet, or franchise

PREPAID ORDERS
  • Refunded to the original payment source (card, UPI, wallet, net banking)
  • No change of payment method accepted
  • Shipping charge is non-refundable
  • Processing time: 10–12 working days after warehouse receipt
CASH ON DELIVERY (COD)
  • Provide bank account details when placing the return request on the portal or website
  • Share details from your registered email ID
  • No change in bank details once submitted
  • Shipping charge and COD charge are non-refundable
  • Refund value covers only the article returned - not additional charges levied at purchase
  • You will receive confirmation by email; our team will then initiate the bank transfer
  • Birkenstock is not responsible for funds transferred to an unintended account number

Coupons & discounts: Only the amount actually paid is refunded. The value availed via any coupon code or discount will not be refunded. Coupon codes are also not re-validated in the event of a return.

Return & replacement policy for discounted merchandise

Discounted items have limited options

Sale and discounted merchandise is generally final sale. Please review the specific terms below before purchasing discounted products.

    There will be no return or replacement given for any discounted merchandise.

    Only a size replacement can be availed, if a request is raised to Customer Care within the first 7 days of purchase - subject to stock availability.

    Birkenstock India Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel an order on account of non-availability, quality check failure, or any other unforeseeable factor related to goods.

    In the event of an order cancellation by Birkenstock, the customer will be informed via email and a full refund will be processed.

    For size replacement requests, an unboxing video of the parcel is required - explicitly capturing the complete unboxing process with product and original tags intact, clearly highlighting the nature of the issue.

FAQS

Common questions about returns

Can I return a product if I simply don't like the colour?

Yes, as long as the product is in its original, unused condition with all tags intact, you can return it within 10 days of delivery. Please use the return portal or email customercare-india@birkenstock.com. Note that for discounted merchandise, only size replacements are available - no colour-preference returns.

How long does it take to receive my refund?

Once the returned product reaches our warehouse and passes quality checks, refunds are processed within 10–12 working days to your original payment method. For COD orders, the timeline begins once you share your bank details and we approve the request.

Will my coupon code be refunded or reinstated?

No. Only the amount you actually paid is refunded. Any discount applied via coupon code or offer is not refunded. Coupon codes are also not re-validated or reissued on returns. The refund amount will reflect the net amount you paid at checkout.

Can I return my online purchase at a BIRKENSTOCK store?

No. Purchases made at the online shop cannot be returned or exchanged at any offline BIRKENSTOCK store, outlet, or franchise, nor can complaints be lodged there. Likewise, offline purchases cannot be returned to the web store.

Can I change my pickup address?

No. Reverse pickups are arranged from the original delivery address on your order. No address changes can be accommodated once the return is approved.

The size received does not match your order. Raise a request within 10 days and we will dispatch the correct size.

Manufacturing defect at delivery

Any structural or material defect present at time of delivery. The identical product is reshipped once the original is collected.

Colour or style preference

Replacements for personal preferences - including colour and style changes - are not available under this programme.

Damage from regular use, improper care, or environments beyond the product's intended purpose does not qualify.

Upload defect photos & video

Submit clear photos from multiple angles and the unboxing video showing the issue. All media must be shared before the request is approved.

Free reverse pickup arranged

Once your request is approved, our courier will collect the item free of charge from your original delivery address. No address changes are possible.

Replacement dispatched (or refund issued)

The same product in the same size is dispatched. If the product is out of stock, a refund will be issued to your original payment method instead. Colour or style changes cannot be accommodated.

3-Month Manufacturing Defect Warranty

Every product sold is covered against manufacturing defects for 3 months from the date of delivery. If a structural or material defect surfaces during normal use, we will exchange the product for the same product and same size.

Raising a warranty claim

Identify and document the defect

Take clear photos and a short video clearly showing the manufacturing defect. Note when the defect first appeared and describe how the product has been used.

Submit within 3 months of delivery

Contact our support team with your order number, photos, and defect description within 3 months of your delivery date.

Review & approval

Our team will review your submission and confirm whether the defect qualifies as a manufacturing defect under the warranty terms.

Cancel before your order is dispatched

You can cancel your order at any time before it leaves our warehouse. Once dispatched, the order cannot be cancelled - please use the returns process instead.

Refund is credited to the same account used at purchase. You will be notified via email or SMS once processed.

COD orders

No payment was made, so no refund is issued. Your order simply will not be dispatched after approval.

After dispatch - not cancellable

Once an order leaves our warehouse it cannot be cancelled. Please initiate a return after delivery instead.

Notification

You will receive a confirmation email and/or SMS once your cancellation is approved and the refund has been initiated.

Common questions about cancellations

Can I cancel after the order is shipped? +

No. Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, it can no longer be cancelled. Please use the returns process after delivery.

How long does my cancellation refund take? +

For prepaid orders, refunds are typically initiated within 3 – 4 working days of approval and credited to your original payment account.

Can Birkenstock cancel my order? +

In rare cases we may cancel orders due to stock unavailability or payment issues. You will be notified promptly and any payment refunded.
